I'm Emily

I'm a product designer, visual artist, and classical singer with a professional background that spans 20+ years and a variety of industries.

A native of the suburbs of Chicago, I received my B.A. in Literature from UC Santa Cruz and studied fine art, literature, languages, classics, and graphic and web design at UC San Diego, Brown University, Parson’s School of Design, and School of Visual Arts.

I have extensive experience designing for the nonprofit sector, especially for performing arts groups and organizations working for human rights, peace and justice, environmental conservation, and community improvement. I has also worked in a number of for-profit industries, including media, finance, law, politics, and advertising, for the past 6 years primarily in pharma. I freelanced at The New York Times, Alliance Bernstein, Omnicom Health Group, and Klick Health, and was full-time at FCB Health for over 4 years.

I am also a compassionate mentor and able to manage a small team of designers.
